Spent day in Jerusalem. Exhausted and still processing. Please pray for us as we spend another full day tomorrow with the college.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love.” A reflection on this passage marked the end of a full day of conversations, prayer and story-telling.

We began our day with a powerful student-led time of worship, and were struck with their bravery and dedication as they respond to God’s call on their lives.  The rest of the day was filled with more stories of these dear brothers and sisters, which made this passage all the more real to us. We are still processing the richness of these stories and how God wants to weave us into them, so we will only share a few tonight.

"If everyone in the world prayed for peace in the Middle East, there would be peace.  And if it can happen here, it can happen anywhere."  Those were the words spoken by one of the BBC staff.  Although we often think the situation is hopeless, particularly as outsiders when it's difficult for us to understand the complexities of the situation, the faith of this staff member, a native of Bethlehem, and the truth of her words resonated with us throughout the day.
